Update,,,
Found a loaded pick guard with two single and a humbucker on the auction site, and swapped the two single PUs for the ones that were open on this guitar... I have them wired to the top two on-off switches, it sounds pretty good...
I have a question about the humbuckers, tho... the one on the guitar has two hot wires, and the shield is ground... the "new" one from theh pick guard has only a hot and ground wire, and is wired to the lever switch that came with it... this git was set up with each hot lead to each end of an on-off-on switch, as best I can figure... the wires were broken when I got it... is it possible the two hot wires went together to one side of switch, so both hum sections are powered at the same time? I tried it that way and it seemed to hold the chord (sustain??) longer... I'm guessing the"new" hum PU is wired together, haven't tried it tho...
Any insight is welcome, as this is my 1st guitar project, and I'm not a player...
