Im new to this and know nothing so very simplified answer appreciated. I see on the Yuan Jing cases like Yuan Jing Audio - ON SALE! - Aluminium Case - Power Amplifier - Black [A] - $28.00 - Aluminium Case / Chassis the switch they use appears to be the similar to the ones I attached from ebay. Could they be hooked up as a on off switch with mains 250v ac in. Im not really sure how that works or if very safe.
In their case I assume its after transformer rather than before so lower voltage dc.
I got a 24V 5A Regulated Switching Power Supply and all the other push button switches I could find within my budget seemed to be 3a or 5a. Is it even ok to mount switch after the power supply anyway?

This looks like a standard power switch used on the primary side of many consumer electronics products. I would avoid switching after the power supply as it would always be on, consuming power and reducing its useful life. E
