Can anyone point me to a simple explanation of using a spread frequency crossover to align phase when the tweeter acoustic center is behind the woofer acoustic center. Jeff Markwart talks about doing just that here Phase Shift Between Drivers - Great Plains Audio but I have no Idea where to start with the math.
I am calculus deficient so something a bit more basic is what I am looking for 😊
Thanks,
Marty

If I understand correctly, Jeff separated the filters in frequency. He then found that this didn't help them line up, but it helped them match over a small band. Fortunately the filters cut around this band.
Alternately you can use asymmetrical filter slopes.
