I have a pair of mFonkens powered by a DIY Paradise Charlize II, I'm building a powered sub and would like to get your input on splitting the signal.
I want to split the line level signal into two after my pre-amp, one side going directly to the subwoofer plate amp, letting it's cross over filter out the high frequencies. With the other line level signal, I would like to implement a filter, then put the signal into the Charlize.
Can anyone suggest a simple passive line level 3rd or 4th order filter to take out everything below about 100Hz to reduce the load on the Charlize and mFonkens? Will this plan work, or is there a better way to achieve it?
I would like to stay passive to avoid cost complexity, and line level to reduce the cable mess to a minimum.
I have learnt a lot on these forums, and I really appreciate everyone's input.
