If you have no money download the free LTspice from Linear Technology. If you have lots of money, then buy SIMETRIX.
I would love to have SIMETRIX but can't justify the expense. Also it would be hard (impossible) to convince to the wife I need it.

Ray

LT Spice is also good even if you have some monry. Learn first what to expect from a simulator, what features are important, etc.
If I were in a position to spend some money I would think about Beige Bag (www.beigebag.com) if only because their support section runs heavily to audio.

You can download LTspice at http://www.linear-tech.com/software/ . You can join the user group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LTspice/ . The user group has information on tutorials and manuals.
The user group isn't to teach newcomers how to use Spice, but anyone who is interested should be able to teach themself how to use Spice in a few hours. It took me a while to learn even though I had used the old Berkley Spice on a mainframe in the 1980s.
