Thank you for your quick reply.
Would you tell me what transformer you added in the power supply to power the LEDs?
I thought it has a builtin power supply for the logo.

Regarding the noise you mentioned, DMC-10 has an outboard power transformer so it should not cause any noise from the power supply. I think the preamp may have some other issues such as transistors are failing and very likely causing some noise. Can you get the same level of noise in both channels or something else?
Can you also verify what kind noise that is? Hum or something else?
These preamps are so well made and hard to troubleshoot without any good test instrument once there are some issues.

I am trying to buy one in decent shape DMC-10 and the price is affordable.
Would you share your thought about the price if you sell it in as is condition?
Best, dmadmc

The transformer I added was just a cheap off the shelf AC to DC model to power LEDs that I added for the logo. The logo lighted with some sort of flat incandescent bulb that was burned out(they all do). It ran on 120 VAC.

The noise is a low level buzz and appears to be in both channels and louder through the DC coupled outputs. This is why I wondered if the added transformer could be the problem? The transformer was added inside of the outboard power supply where the logo is.

As far as price. I don't know. It's almost perfect cosmetically with the box and manual. The last one I saw on eBay went for around $1600.00. It was not as clean but said to work fine.
