Just got my projector all setup (Nview Spectra Pro + Dukane 4000). All in all its a beautiful setup except that I am having weird horizontal ghosting. I'll try to explain:
For example if the title of the movie comes up in the direct center of the scree, I will get an exact duplicate ( although extremely faded) ghost image of it almost directly above it. It's not an outline. It would look kinda like this:
Back to the Future ----> Ghost Image
Back to the Future ---->original title
It's not really noticable except for scenes that have great contrast; ie white writng on a black background.
Anyone ever seen something similiar? Could it be something with the optics, I have yet to clean the lenses and glass omn the projector or lcd, and thers alot of fingers prints and smudges on them.
Thanks,
Rekr

Update: Must be an optics problem because if I turn the LCD panel off, and wave my hand over the overhead i get ghosting from my fingers, I'll try cleaning everything tommorrow.

If i am not mistaken, i beilve the spectra pro is an old model, and is not as many colors as the spectra c. It very well could be a passive matrix display, and not active matrix (passive ar know to ghost) could that be the reason its ghosting? I may be very wrong though...
I know it does 1.4 million colors which is equivelent to the spectra c, I'm not sure if its active or passive but I think its active
