I've just disassembled my NAD T533 DVD player out of curiosity and found the DAC chip to be a BurrBrown (=TI) chip named PCM1603. Looking at TI's website there is no info on this chip, but judging from the part numbering I guess that it has some things in common with the PCM1602/1604 chips.
The T533 is DVD-Audio capable, so stereo 24bit/192 kHz and 6-ch 24bit/96 kHz is to be expected capability of this DAC chip. Has anyone got any more info on this "secret" part?
