Hello again, Not sure if this is the exact spot for the question. I got a pair of RCA RS2054 5 1/4 x 7 x 9 1/2 in. speakers for the express purpose of refitting
with some Fostex 4 inch FE127E s I had for decades. I'll see if I can locate a picture but the sculpted front and such was pretty much just a selling point someplace.
Aside from all the parameters and specs I'd simply like to know if there is knowledge here or elsewhere on DIY Audio to see an exploded view of these proprietary speakers from RCA. The goal is to remove the front and re-cut a baffle for the Fostex-- or not if the replacement will just drop in. I actually have one of same size box from a different manufacturer with which I'll match it. Simply put, I've looked for stuff this size to modify for a long time.
I only have hand tools and live in apartment so was never able to do much with box building in these years. The thin wall box matches the old Nakamichi R-1 mini I have that was sold with a small receiver many decades ago.

That's just a photo of the speaker pair from search. I've no idea if these RCA are actually worth anything like what is shown. It shows the detachable grille and fronts with the sculpting.
I will plug one in to see what it sounds like but I want to use another Fostex in this build. At the local thrift, the pair of these was $2.63.
