I sure this has been run into the ground before, but I missed it being too new here.
What is a good learning remote? For reasonable pricing vs. flexibility. I have a stack of these damn things, its getting worse, and would like to have just one or so. None of the generic ones work since they are more for TV, Cable, etc. Well I have all of those plus CD, DVD, Preamp, etc.
Thoughts anyone? Or is this a DIY project possibility too?

Why not buy a Sony RM-VL900T remote controll? I have one and it works great, and is quite cheap too.

I use OmniRemote. This is either software, or a module that can be used with a Palm Pilot, or a Handspring Visor. It can support up to 16 different screens, and the screen is fully user programmable. Check out 'http://www.pacificneotek.com/'.
