I desire to set two bookshelf speakers on a bookshelf above my desk, tilting down, directed at me. I can separate them by about 9 or 10 feet without a problem, and they will be about 5 feet above me, vertically. But I can't find a bracket that would mount on the top of the bookcase (above and behind trim) on which I could mount a speaker AND allow the speaker to be angled down by 30 degrees or so. I may need to build something, but wondered if anyone was aware of commercial hardware that I may have missed. Thanks.
How about one that mounts to the wall instead. Those come in all shapes and sizes.

I would chose a model that has braces around the speaker cab instead of just screwing it to the cabinet wood. You won;t want the things falling on your head if the screws pull out or the wood breaks.

Yes, mounting to the wall will be my last option, but the wall sits back quite a ways from the book shelves. If need be, I can construct a wooden base tilted forward with a front ledge to prevent the speaker from sliding or falling forward that will simply sit on top the book shelf. I was hoping that a company somehwere had already offered a solution to this problem. Of note, I have seen something similar to what I need that offers a 10 degree tilt, but not the 30 degrees or so that I need.

Buy a couple of angle braces (not the reinforced shelf brackets) and bend them? Bolt two braces together?
Both of you share my general thoughts. You are correct these will sit up on top, behind the trim, and the wooden, tilted bases I would construct would be below the trim level. I will use some angled braces or a wooden ledge at the front of the angled base to hold the speaker back so it doesn't slide or fall forward. Perhaps one of you should manufacture these and then retire!
