SW help was written many years ago, when Pentium CPU was the fastet one, and a 256 k dimension could give some headache to the computer. If you look at the bottom of the options window, you will see that the RESULTAT DE PRECISION is +/- 5.86 Hz, while using the 256k you will get 0.18 Hz: That's a big improvement!
Thanks for the information Claudio ! Next time I make some measures, I'll use 256 k !!!

About the near field response, how did you measure it since you use 2 woofers? Did you took the single drive response and then jointed the 2 ? The useful response is till 800 Hz, since it is a 6,5 woofer; the near field response you show doesn't look too good to me: did you add the port response?
I measured only one woofer without the port response. I was kinda more interested in what was going on over 200 Hz 🙄 But now, you made me think...... What do you think is wrong ? The measurement or the speakers response ?
Any input will be more then welcome !
Best regards,
Daniel
I measured only one woofer without the port response.
So Dan, you made a near field measure of one woofer mounted in box without considering the port: why? Looks like you wanted the free air response but you measured the woofer in the box(so it's not free air) or you wanted the woofer in box response but you measured it without the port. Besides your system uses 2 woofers, so to get the system response you need to measure both of them plus the port.

Claudio

Hi again,
As I said I did not considered the port because I was more interested to see how the spekears where doing over 200 Hz...I should had consider the port 🙁 I'll measure it next time !
Why measuring both woofers, they should give the same results when measured into nearfield conditions ? The total SPL would change for sure, but the rest should not be different

Daniel
