Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a speaker construction project of some medium hi-fi quality.
Unfortunately, most of the "troelsgravsen" buildings are not available to me at the moment (I have a wife 🙂
however, I found two projects that interested me:
Daedalus
or:
404 Not Found
do you have any opinion which of the speakers will play better on my PASS A5 in bi-amp mode?
Alternatively, you do not know of any similar FAST / MTW (W) speaker building projects.
My design highlights are:
Jenzen-Illuminator
or
Jenzen-ATS

Explain better what is "biamp mode"
I guess that you don't make it with an electronic crossover and 4 amplifiers

Haven't heard the Daedalus, but to me it seems a pretty straightforward, well-designed 3-way with excellent drivers. If the build is executed well, you'll end up with much more than medium hi-fi.
yes, that's why it's one of my variants, I'll just wonder if there won't be a better second variant from the link with the MTM WW setup, even if they have drivers from a lower class, the bass section could be more powerfull...

I want to use two stereo amplifiers to drive speakers with separate center and subwoofer drive .... I don't see a problem with that.

What are your requirements? Do you have experience with such medium long-throw 8" woofers in a vented cabinet? Imho that's more than enough for most homes, apart from party speakers or dedicated home theatre with a lot of low and subsonic sound.
xvawe, looking at your links I can see some very different loudspeakers. From large floor standers, bookshelf types, to small "desktop" speakers. It would be useful to understand better what type of speakers you are looking for:
- Size of your room?
- Amplifier(s)? I am not sure what you mean by "Pass A5"? Aleph 5? Or F5 maybe?
- Not all wives are equal... so, how big/tall/expensive can your speakers be?
- Are you happy to build a complicated enclosure, or do you prefer a simple rectangular box?

I understand.
Due to the relatively flat sound of my amplifiers in the bass part, I chose speakers with an output of at least 35Hz to 90dB.
Of course, I'm open to compromise, but unfortunately I have nothing to compare.
I have a studio subbass JBL with a 12 "converter at home, but the sound would be even more at home cinema 🙂

thanks in advance for the questions.
I meant floor towers.
I would like to sound the sector for the middle part and the bass.
the construction does not give me a problem complexity with the transmission line I prefer.
The best choice for me is a fullrange top cut high with the help of a tweeter and a bass section with
cutting around 100 Hz.
the size of the sound space with acoustic modifications approx. 7x6x4m
price around 1000euro for drivers, XO, etc.
Enclosure is free
unfortunately such a variant of the available speaker, or their plans I have not found yet and I do not want to invest a lot of money in the experiment ...
And amps ist aleph 5, preamp Is jlh Hood class a and dac is ak4496 with 5532 op amp

That level those RS225’s in vented enclosures would accomplish. Easily.I understand.
