SpeakerPower Torpedo SP1-4000 Plate Amp Review

Thanks Art, that sounds even more interesting for the 230v that we have here in Germany.
That could be a better match for the double 21" 18 Sounds! Thanks for the suggestion!
And that PlateAmp is also availible for the so called DiY Market when it is not equipped with the DSP Processing?
Yes, all the SpeakerPower amps not equipped with the DSP Processing including the plate amps are available for purchase singly by anyone.

Just wondering why this was posted on a DIY site when the manufacturer makes them unobtainium...

"Wholesale/OEM only. You must be a loudspeaker manufacturer with sales to the public, meet minimum purchase and other requirements to qualify to buy these products."

It's called prearranged free advertising on forums. You can find indentical posts elsewhere, where this company uses various people, who enjoy hanging out on forums, to advertise their wares.

You can find Brian chiming in after several other people , made postings on other forums such as HTS. etc. on other products made by this company. It would be nice if forums were free of these prearranged free advertising campaigns, as they do not lend well to proper forum discussions.

It is not always as obvious as this thread is, however there are people getting bullied off forums, from people that just cannot accept any negetive news about products, and i suspect a strong correlation to Big Business being represented.

At the same time, it's quite informative to hear and learn directly from the manufacturer about the ins and outs of a product. But I know what you're saying.

The question now however, 7 years down the road, is how the DSP section has developed in terms of features and whether it's available to the public?
