new to these forums, I could seem to find a section that this question fits in, I was wondering if anyone knows how they wire a 4 speaker guitar amp cabinet to come up with a 8 ohm load? 2 pairs of 8's in parallel then those 2 pair in series?
Yes, exactly, assuming the four speakers are each 8 ohms.
The wiring is in fact called series-parallel wiring. It allows four driviers to have the same impedance as one driver.

Thanks Enzo ! , I was just always under the impression that you dont use series wiring on speaker setups to often
series is always safer than parallel where speakers are at least close to the same wattage as ohms my go too low.
