Spekaer Mute circuit for power Amp
Has anyone got an effective circuit for a power on, speaker mute circuit for a power amp, i have no space so it has to be simple.

Take a look at http://hafler.com/techsupport/pdf/DH-500_amp_man.pdf. The protection circuit is small except for the relay and easy build on perfrboard. Modifying it for use in another amp amounts to changing the rail resistors.

Bob, check the link, it is wonky. Yet it is there on the Halfler site. Perhaps its just me.
Thanks, Farl. What I like about the circuit is it also protects (at least tries) the speakers against amp failure. It clicks the speakers off if significant DC shows up on the input, too.
