I am looking for full range 12 inch speakers.
A good x-max would help with volume versus weight.
The application is for guitar and disco.
Not too expensive though.
Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Eminence Deltalite2 2512
Speaker Detail | Eminence Speaker
Sounds pretty good all by itself, designed for PA use. Can take a lot of power, lightweight, cheap. Accordion surround limits Xmax to 5mm (iirc?)
Gonna be tough to find a cheap 12" driver that can play disco LF beat (30Hz) and also clean loud vocals and guitar solos (5kHz.) But I hope you can find what you're after.

Eminence Beta 12LTA seems to be the go-to choice for budget 12in full range. 98dB sensitivity and 3.2mm xmax. $80 in the US. There are a bunch of threads on this one in the full range forum.
My first disco used Fane 50WRMS speakers.
I used 2 cabinets with 2 drivers in each.
I think they were 5KHz top end.
But they sounded good and the volume was amazing for 50WRMS each.
Since then I have bought eminence speakers but they don't have the bite or volume I used to have. I offloaded the Eminence speakers about a year back.
I bought a 18 inch sub with a compression driver and didn't realise until it arrived how heavy it was, I simply cant lift it on my own.
So I was thinking of going back to dual 12 inch drivers.
When I mentioned disco I meant a mobile disco that plays MP3 files from a laptop to audiences.
I had a look at Blue Aran - Professional Sound and Lighting and they have a full range Fane 250WRMS driver that is full range and with 5mm x-max. They are about £58 which isn't too bad.

A long time supplier of Guitar (and other) speakers. Problem is it's in USA and shipping and the Infamous UK customs will extract a left testicle as payment for their importation.
Hi,
Good 12" PA speakers are poor guitar speakers and vice versa.
Good guitar speakers have bite, good PA speakers don't.
Those Fane speakes are good for PA, and probably bass,
but don't have the characteristics of a good guitar speaker,
and the more aggressive sounding (for rock) bass speakers.
rgds, sreten.

I finally settled on Fane 200lt full range speakers.
Will pop a couple in a cabinet (I have yet to make) and see how they sound.
£112 for 2 so not bad price wise.

Nearly finished my 2 by 12 inch Fane Sovereign 12-200lt cabinet.
Powered it up tonight and sounds very full range.
Good bass, middle and highs.
