Thinking about using these in my next speaker set up. I have a friend who will do some simulations.
Any opinions?
1) Tweeter: Heil Tweeter with horn (use 1)
ESS Heil Air Motion Transformer AMT Tweeter
2) Midrange Accuton C-173 (use 1)

3) scan speak 15w/8530k midwoofer ( will probably use 2 of these)

Depend on what you want to achieve ....
All these drivers are briliant.
Haven't heard exactly the ESS or the Accuton, but have seen measurements which is approving.
The ESS was used to cross over to a 12 inch, which is probably a bit of a streach .... woul go for that + either 2 x 6.5 or 2 x 8 inch (wulld choose SB acoustics for best performance value relations). Just heard on of their 6.5 bass-mid in a smaller 2 way, and it was just amazing .... low bass and clear mids.
Maybe I would consider a newer AMT design. I have heard different and all sounded really good. But look at the distortion measurements of AMT and it is not surprising. Maybe the Dayton AMTPRO-4 would perform as good as the ESS.
For a very small box, the 15w is unbeatable I think
my 2 cents
