Hi,
I am going to run a bypass on my preamp to take out of circuit the balance and a stereo/mono selector.
Any ideas for a supplier of high quality toggle switches, this will take the signal?
Thanks

I might have something, what exactly are you after, DPDT or something with more poles? With a toggle it's likely to be break before make,is this an issue? Any size constraints?
You could use a relay if you have a 12v or similar.

It will receive L&R signal from after the selector switch and then take this to the volume pot signal input L&R. It will also take from after the mode selector switch and balance wheel and again send to the volume pot, so in one switch position it is bypassing the mode selector and balance, the other as normal with these in the chain.
The Pre-amp - it's an old SP8, so long flat levers preferred, but not essential.

no idea why the LED is wired to come on when the power is switched on.....but I guess when the outlet switch functionality was removed it was piggy packed on
I found this but not sure of quality for signal audio FTN7904 | TE Connectivity DPDT Toggle Switch, Latching, Panel Mount | RS Components
Hey - thanks for the all help, I ordered one from RS for £8 so this should hopefully be ok.
It's the gold plated contacts version 🙂

I tried to order a tumbler switch from that RS Components company here in the Netherlands.
After the purchase (I thought) I received an email from that company that they refuse to sell the tumbler switch to me because I am NOT a company also. They are selling their products to a registered company only.

Weird to see that the double switch with gold plated contacts is cheaper than a single switch.
It look very good though. For sure something to keep in mind!
@JoeAlders: I may be able to help you with this, as I have a small company for electronics and ICT. Send me a PM if necessary.
Good luck! Gerrit

Thanks Gerrit for willing to help me out here! 🙂
Will send you a PM.
Joe.
Well, as promised by Gerrit, he ordered the tumbler switches I wanted and sent them to me.
Those switches have nice long handles exactly what I wanted.
Many thanks Gerrit for helping me, much appreciated! 🙂
