hi I am upgrading the caps in my 25 yr old Conrad Johnson P12 amp. I need values of 0.1 or 0.15 uf 600v. Can anyone recommend some good caps and a place to source them from? Thanks
I have a bunch of Vcap Copper teflon and Tin teflon around, as well as Russian FT3,K72 Teflon, Sonicap teflon, etc, and while the best of them are fantastic, I don't see the need to pay so much when you have fantastic-sounding modern caps like Jupiter copper foil and Miflex copper foil capacitors for much less money.
Jupiter copper foil caps. My go-to caps these days. Miflex is a bit less expensive but much larger than Jupiter coppers, so there is a space issue, so I would check the Miflex cap size in relation to space available before ordering.

I have been using Solen caps for decades. Good stuff, from their low priced offerings right up to the exotics. Doesn't hurt that they're about half an hour from home either, haha.

I haven't tried them in crossovers, but I do use them in preamps, power amps and other devices when requested, as they are a bit pricy for general use.
For most service requirements, and in my own gear (for electronics and crossovers) I generally use the Polypropylene & foil series:
