Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a source to get the Sound Practices Magazine archive on CD. Neither www.soundpractices.com nor www.southernelectricaudio.com websites function anymore and the telephone number for southern electric audio doesn't appear to be connected. Further, I did not find any other source when I did a google search. I thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Re: Copy
Yeah. Joe Roberts will sell you one for $29.95. He was the founder, owner, and editor of Sound Practices. He owns the material. Do him a service and buy the CD directly from him. He's earned it.

Joe is a hell of a nice guy and ripping him off would be a shame.
Re: Re: Copy
agree;
I have almost all issues of SP.........even if I pay for them full price (14 of 16 issues,if I remember correctly) I get xeroxes...........!
conclusion-whatever you pay fro this CD,it's well worth.

Current address of Joe is jroberts a soundpractices.com
but not sure he sells Sound Practices CDs any more.
Worldradiohistory.com deleted the copies due to his request :

Note the typo in this line.

"Not your father's Dyna"??Fortunately for me, I saved my copy of Issue 10, because I was one of the authors - documenting a single ended stereo EL34 amplifier.
bondini,
Correct!
"Not your fathers Dyna"
I worked with a co-worker on that project.
He also wrote the article on the same page: "Save those 7199s!"
Then the two of us plus a 3rd engineer did extensive research and measurements, and wrote the Cover Article of the very last issue of Glass Audio:
Volume 12 Number 5, 2000
"Paralleling Tubes Effects"
After that, 3 magazines were combined into 1.
We all worked at Tektronix at the time, and so did Lynn Olson.
You probably noticed a prolific writer for Glass Audio was jhstewart9; he posts on Tubes/Valves often.
Like so many other contributors, those posts are worth reading.
I can not even list all the important posters on Tubes/Valves, but you probably have read all of their posts too.

I learn something 'new' almost every day.
And I forget something 'old' almost every day.
I guess I need to get a copy of Volume 12 "Number 6"
