Source Follower Enlightenment

All,

Would it be OK to use a incandecent light bulb (as in the Zenlightenment amplifier) as a CCS in a source follower configuration? Would it negatively impact the sound? I'm thinking this would be a good way to get around some of the large heatsinking requirements of a Class-A setup.

Thanks,
zagnar

Should be no problem as long as the voltage drop across the bulb is high enough to simulate a real CCS.

Some people here in the forum say that a resistor load always sound better than a real constant current source...

...but in all Alephs the current sources are there,so ...

I'm perplex. What does Nelson state for this crucial point?...
