SoundStream XXX 6500 output issues

Good afternoon,

Power supply seems to be working great. Thank you Perry.

New problem. Input voltage 13v. Apply remote. Both rails build quickly and evenly. Soon as they reach 120v I hear a loud click or pop sound from somewhere on the high side of the output section and both rails drop immediately to near 0v (almost like they got grounded). If I hold remote for a few seconds longer, I hear what sort of sounds like arcing and the neg rail stays near 0v while the pos rail tries to build back up. At this point I freak out and remove remote. lol

The relays are on the far end of the amp by the speaker terminals. It's def not them clicking. If I leave it long enough, to where the pos rail builds back up to say 50v and the low side is around 5v. Release remote (cause making an arc sound), then reapply remote. Both rails immediately snap back to zero ( I hear a pop/click), both climb evenly, get to +/- 120-124v then I hear the click again, rails seem to short to ground, positive tries to build back up... neg stays low and I hear arcing sound from somewhere.

Any ideas? I can't think of where the sound is coming from. It doesn't seem to be coming from the filter inductor. Nothing over there should be clicking to my knowledge...

I have this guy. That's about it. I use my QuantAsylum to generate sine waves. Don't think it has ability to produce square waves unfortunately.

It's definitely that inductor though. When I hold it one specific way, amp powers up fine. No noises, other than relays clicking on and fans running.

Let go, back to problems.

Yup. Was definitely shorting to the board. It looks like someone tried to repair it before by just adding some Polyimide film tape.

I have some thin micarta I'll put between. I can't get that winding to move at all. I just hope it's not worn to the winding under it.
