amps left channel is putting 20.74 volts on the outputs and - 12.78 on the right channel So i have tons of dc on the outputs but the output transistors are testing fine, Wondering what i should check?
ok i see a problem with this amp before i even get to where u asked for the voltages let me fix something a sec and then ill post the voltages
ok back to this amp there were npd7050's for the power supply fets but of course this amp has been worked on before to. Wondering is the irfz44's a good fet for this amp?
I have to rebuild the audio section of this amp so far 2 new driver boards and all new 102's and 107's and all new emitter resistors since have of this stuff was bad when i got the amp

I don't have the schematic so I don't know what the original was. It could have been the 7050. The IRF1010E has approximately the same current rating as the 7050. The z44 can't handle as much current as the 7050.
Were the ndp7060 the upgrades for the 7050's? i dont have any 1010e's so the only thing i have is the 7060's right now
The 7060 is essentially identical. I thought they were obsolete but I see they're still available.
Ok now that i put new fets in , new outputs and emitter resistors in, a new 317 and 337 , and 2 new driver boards, this amp has no sound of the left channel and very low ouput from the right
Wondering where i go from here?

The switches are commonly a problem. Move them (all of them) and the pots through their entire range to see if there is any change. Leave the gains at the maximum. Set the crossover to full range. Set the airbass to out.
Ok tryed all that nothing improved at all Its the right channel that dead and left channel very low output
Its producing rail voltage i have +35.98 and -35.98 on the outputs

Ok i alomst tryed everything let me fix a problem with this amp a sec
Been a long day this is the 10th amp ive worked on today got 8 of them up and running
I might have found the problem the airbass switch is missing off the board let me pull a switch from a parts amp and see what i come up with

Do you have a sine wave generator?
Any chance you're going to try to get your scope working again?

i sent my scope out for repair should get it back soon.
If the airbass switch is removed could that cause the lack of output problem?
I can find a switch laying around gonna have to get one.
For now wondering cn i jump it on the board from middle leg to left leg to see if i get sound?

yes i also have a sine wave generator but dont have the plugs for it i know im not doing to good right now with all my equiment out of service
does anyone know how to bypass this airbass switch? i have the same issue on a ref1000s, it plays fine but occasionally you have to jiggle the switch! or a link to the correct part?

Flooding it with a good contact cleaner and working it back and forth 40-50 times may get it clean enough. If not, you may be able to find the replacement on the following page.
