I have Soundstream reference 414s for repair here as one of the channels was sending rail voltage on the speaker terminals.Ive removed all the outputs as 2 are defective as well as all gate resistors as 2 are dead as well.The issue I'm having is with the driver board as it appears that one of the large transistors got hot and 1 resistor connected to it looks brownish so I'm thinking about repairing or replacing this one.Please advice if those are available somewhere or maybe u have spares and wanna hook me up

They made two types of cards for this era of SoundStream amp. One with MPSa-18's as the input pair and one with a dual transistor in a single package 2SC3067 as I recall. Which one do you have ? Perhaps a picture if possible ?

I once had 30 volts DC on the speaker terminals of a Ref 300.
A short while later it did not function at all anymore.
Replacing the rectifiers permanently solved it.
Regardless, I would replace the rectifiers on your amp, while you're at it.
Also, check the quality of the solder joints of your driver boards, very important.
Looking at the schematics, it makes use of FEP16DT and FEN16DT rectifiers.
Jaime sells them, as well as the driver boards. Good luck !

thanks for the advice .With this amp i don't see issues with the rectifiers as the other 3 channels output clean and loud audio.I will reflow the driver cards prior reassembling the amp back .Ive looked for Jaime on ebay but it appears he's no longer selling there .due to ebay crooked policies allot of good parts guys are no longer offering those hard to find parts .The main problem I'm having is supplying the 3381 that is no longer in stock on the main parts suppliers .I was able to find it on Futurlec however i have never purchased parts there so if someone had in the past ,please advice
If 3 out of 4 channels are functioning properly then the rectifiers are fine.
I would DEFINITELY apply some fresh solder to the solder joints of the driver PCB's.
Then, without assembling the amp, power it on and check whether the bad channel functions properly. Do not have the amp play for more than a minute or it will overheat ! Try and perform your tests in no more than half a minute at a time.
If it functions properly, you can assemble it. If it doesn't, than it has other issues than the solder joints.
But I have seen it time and again, bad solder joints causing problems on these amps.
Before replacing parts, it's a thing to do.
