I have soundstream amp that now produces audio but with hum. On 4558 opamps i do get only 7.80v +/- on power supply, amp uses 7915 and 7815 regulators, regulator input voltage is little bit more than 12+/-v. Why do i get only so little voltage on regulators inputs, ok i have 11.84 on amp terminals, but it does not matter, should it? Does someone have information? rub116000d
You'll need at least ±17v for the regulators to produce ±15v.
Why do you have less than 12v feeding the amp? Can you increase the voltage?
