Simple Media Networks is offering SoundsCape audio adapter for BeagleBone. The adapter enables development of digital audio systems based upon the BeagleBone by adding a codec and Bluetooth radio. In addition a complete dlna based renderer is being offered.
Excellent project. I like all the network features. However, the description does not say anything about sample rates. Seems everything is processed at 48k.

Hi glt: The ADAU1361 codec supports standard sample rates up to 96kHz, all of which are also supported by the AM335x on the BBB. The PAN1323 Bluetooth interface supports 44.1kHz & 48kHz (as well as some lower rates) using the SBC codec. In the case of Bluetooth there are inherent limitations due to the compression to a low bit-rate.
