I've built a vented sub box for my 12" sub. But I've no idea why the sub is too boomy until the midrange and high frequency just like being covered.
Anyone have a solution? Size of the enclousure, port tuning or???
Thanks.

generally, portrd enclosures are more boomy that sealed. Also, ythe box size can affect the "boominess" of a sub. What sub are you using? whats the box size? what amp?
Building a vented sub without Thiele-Small parameters generally does not result in a successful outcome. The drive unit is probably too high Qts and/or you have tuned it too high and/or the box is too small.
The size of the enclousure is 24x18x12 (inches) with ported. the port size is 2"dia and 6"length. The amp that I use is stereo and briged.
I don't know the Qts and other parameter of the amp because it is a used amp I bought from my friend.
I've no idea to get the Fb of the sub.

Qts and Fb are speaker parameters not amp parameters. You can measure them yourself.
