The cheap Sony Minidisc recorders now feature this little external box that is a cheap D/A converter with USB connection, which is supposed to make connecting your minidisc recorder easier -- than simply plugging it into the soundboard? I dunno which is easier, but the device is interesting... I havent had a chance to take it apart, but it is basically a playback-only (analog out) USB sound device that VERY small and bus powered...
