those look like bes planars from the 70s and
80's.
bertoni electronic speakers or something like that.
styrofoam panels driven by conventional motors.
the pair i had also had a tweeter that drove the edges of the panel.
they were dipole floorstanders.
i remember really liking them but cant remember what i replaced them with.
would love to hear them again with the rig i have now.

I did not take the time to load all the PDF files but form what I saw it looks very familiar. If this unit uses a plastic film diaphragm then it is almost a direct copy of what I co-designed in the late eighties. We manufactured under the name of Highwood Audio and distributed our speakers under the Sumo banner (out of California). The photo that I saw looked as if it could have been one of our prototypes. Nice to know that someone liked it enough to copy it. Regards Moray James.
