Can I replace the 3.3 ohm resistors with these?

Dayton DNR-3.3 3.3 Ohm 10W Precision Audio Grade Resistor 004-3.3

Would these be an upgrade?

Use the same size value as the originals. There is no resistor that will be an 'upgrade' in this location.

What is the task of these resistors? Why is there present necessary?

They connect the driver transistors to the power supply transistors.

So all the parts are ordered and will hopefully be here soon, then I can see if I will be able to get her to work again.
