I have a sound problem with a Rotal RA312 Amp , can just hear sound (with ear next to speaker) from speakers when the volume is turned full on.
Has anyone got any one any idea's has to what the problem could be ? .

With no information it could be a faulty/mis aligned speaker switch or a bad ground or almost anything.
bad function switch or even a cable fault.
does flipping the input cables change anything?
are either of the tape monitor switches engaged?

by chance does your unit still have the cover for the speaker fuses? if not check that and assure the fuses are still ok.
Yes, both fuses are there , one was blown when I checked ! , replaced with a 3A fuse .
Not sure what would of blown that ! .

Sorry Guys, that was the problem, these amateur's eh .
I do know something about electronics, but not Hi-Fi gear I have to say .

do you have the cover or not? with a missing cover it's possible for those to come into contact with an "inadvertent ground"
are you still getting nothing but crosstalk/bleed on both channels or are things different?

No the fuse has not blown again, and yes the fuse cover is still intact , sorted now playing ok .
holy crap i can't believe that the lesson i learned so long ago has served someone else...never overlook the obvious... to wit i missed that post...good guess on my part...do i get a prize?
