i don't think so. actually, with load (the amp) switched on, the battery drops a little than when measured without load.
regarding the t-amp from diyparadise, i think yeo does offer them completely soldered as smt components might be an issue for some.
actually i found the t-amp very nice sounding. i did not notice problems with tonality. i tried it with a tube pre 2 nights ago, soundstage was very deep and wide. it's like being enveloped by music. simply unreal.
the lm3875 is easy enuff to wire p2p in an afternoon.
