Sorry to be bothering you all with this beaten to death subject but:

can I match IRFP240 with the battery charger of my electric screwdriver, it's rated at 11,6V/220mA, and if so whatresistorvalue do I have to use .

probobly not i dont think those use stabilised voltage.... maybe you could use the battery if it is of sufficient high Voltage

A car battery at 13.8 Volts is about perfect...
