Cannot find replacement 2SC3421-Y with 2B on it. They sell the 2SC3421-Y and 2SA1358-y in pairs so they mist be common and should replace both?
would this work?
5x 2SA1358-Y + 5x 2SC3421-Y A1358-Y/C3421-Y TOSHIBA Audio Transistor | eBay
thanks again

Don't buy electronic parts from ebay. There are too many counterfeits to risk it.
The diode is shorted. The transistors may be OK.
Are you in the US? Europe?

Nice amp. I hope you get it working again. I have had good luck getting parts on Ebay but there are MANY fakes out there for sale.
Thanks. If I do get working again Perry gets all the credit. What don't they counterfeit these days? I barely know what I am looking at then to know if something is fake or not. I better stick to the advice given here.
Ebay is too risky when there are MANY legitimate, authorized distributors.
Buy from Mouser or Digikey.
The diodes in the regulator circuit are D301, D302. It's a 15v, 1/2w Zener diode.
1N5245B-TAP - Vishay
- 1N5245BTAP

I usually use Digikey,
Are any other parts worth replacing while I am at it?
RCA jacks look rough
10 diodes are $1.62

With the information you provided, that's the only part that I see that failed.
You can remove and check the regulator transistors for open junctions, shorts and leakage but they're likely OK.
If you want to order replacements, the KSA1220 and the KSC2690 will work.

Replaced the diode with no success, went back removed and tested the transistors. Q302 was open so replaced Q301, 302 and the amp works perfectly.
