Yes crts go for 10000 hours.I have a sony VPH 1020QM and its life is 10000 hours.Lukily mine has passed this limit last year but picture is still just fine, not like when it was new in 1995 that i bought it but defenatly still better than any lcd i have bought or made until now.
There are some things though that you must check before bying it.1000 hours is like new but if the projector had still pictures or console games during this time you may want to check the phosphor in the tubes!!!It might not have burned evenly and thats a problem because the image will not be even in all the screen.I know this well beleive me.You must also know that crts are not plug and play projectors like lcd and dlp. They need a lot of job to be done before you enjoy a movie. It is called screen and colour calibration and it is difficult especialy with the 722.You must know these things before you go crt.but if you manage to do it then you will get a very nice image. Also you must never move it again. If you do you must calibrate again.Once i moved mine to have my ceeling painted,i placed it back at exectly the same place and i had to calibrate again. If you are a gamer crt is not the way, static images burn the phosphors quick, but if you like to watch movies there you go.
Also see if it has a line doubler,i do not remember for this model. If it does not the scaler will show lines where ever is movement.Line doubler increase brightess also.
Are you sure it is 722 or 7220?
Anyway good luck 😉

WMT do you know about tube replacement costs ? Is refill possible ? ( I 'm really lame about crt projectors 🙂
I can vouch for the longevity of crt projectors, I have a Sony KP-5020 CRT projection tv. Similar to a 1030, but built into a coffee table and has a tuner and speakers with a curved plastic 50" screen. The manufacturing date on the rear of the set is Nov. 1980 and the unit still works to this day, bright and can be watched even in sunlight. I believe this was one of if not the first "big screen tv" from Sony. I have pics of it somewhere....
Thx wylie-c for response. I will go to the seller's home tonight, and I will see the device.
Last question ; How can I understand its usage time ? Is there any way to understand it?
Please give me some advise 🙂

Ok you can ignore this thread 🙂 because I seen the device and didn' t buy it.
It had weak lumen output (maybe 150-200 lumens, so it is going to die) and some weird color problems... Maybe it would be fixed but I didn' t want take the risk. BTW, seller was a really good /honest person 😎
BTW2, case of the device was massive 😱
