Hello ,
I visited this site and it seems like everybody here is pretty smart so I have a question for anybody that would know. I was given a Sony VPH-1031Q from a friend. I know nothing about this thing except it powers up and has three tubes. Now I understand what it does but I dont know how it does it. I have direct tv at my house and would like to set it up BUT the connections from the unit do not work with my directv boxes. I have coax and rca out of the directv receivers and rca going in for the audio but something weird for the video. I have never seen video inputs like this before. Can somebody give me an idea on what to do.
Thanks

Sony 1031 video adapter.
Not a problem - you need an adapter - the connector is a BNC connector, so you need a BNC to RCA or a BNC to Coax adapter. places like radio shack sell them, pretty cheap. I have my projector connected to my DirecTV with Tivo projecting onto an 8 foot (diagonal) screen. It's really nice.
Happy Viewing.
