PSU is higher voltage than regular first watt psu. Power output is about 25W into 8 down from 40 in the 2 pair version.
If I order 2 sets of the essentials kits, does it mean that the 4pairs of VFETs are pre-matched in order to build the original part2 amp (with the dual pair of VFETs) ?

The big question is howmany people will actually puchase and then finish building the amplifiers! I know I will, but I am in no hurry!!

i would like to build this lovely amp as a dual mono amp and have already signed up in the waiting list.
i assume that there is sound wise not that much noticeable differences between the original part2 (dual pair VFET) and the diy-version (We have already received excellent review for the part2). however, just in case one would like later upgrade the amp to the original part2 , are you going to provide/support the pcb for the part2 as well? or what is your recommendation that I should consider, having a future upgrade in mind (housing, pcb, psu, components, etc.)?

Can't seem to find it, so I thought I'd ask: Are the board dimensions (with/without the mounting bracket) stated anywhere? That would help when investigating chassis options 🙂

Have you signed for the pre release list?
There are no extra brackets at the moment as they were made to the same amount of available kits, but if there is enough interest modushop might do another run.
