hello,
a friend of mine has an sony amp ta-ax44
an old beast.
but it won't start up. no lights.
i put a lamp in the back slots of it (where you can put a cd player and receiver). and i found out that when the machine was out: there was still going current into the power slots at the back. but not continous but in "bursting mode". So the lamp went on and off 5 times per second or something like that.
i witched the amp on, for 20 minutes, and all of a sudden all lights light up, but no sound out of it.
could it be that the power caps are dried out (after25 years) ?
does anyone recognize this problem ?
does anyone had this problem ?
does anyone has the repair manual or so ?
thanx a lot
greetings
