What happened - I was trying to move the amp while the power was on. I was holding it by where the power button was. I accidentally touched the power button more then ones, the amp went multiple times on and off and it stopped working.
Now - power (120 VAC) comes to the relay that switches the big transformer on and off. But the relay, which is controlled by the power button on the front of the amp is not switching it on. When I press the power button nothing happens. The little power transformer, next to the big one is okay. It has around 14 V DC on the out. I checked everything visually and did not find anything that could cause the problem. Does anyone has an idea how to fix this

Beyond the things you see in the other thread please notice that in between there is updated information saying that many of this era amplifiers suffer from poor soldering down under the relay that controls the power just right after the stand by small transformer

Thanks to those who replied to my question. I found and fixed the problem and later, at the end, I will tell you what helped me.
It happens a lot to this kind of amplifiers and non professional electronics in general. The RCA IN ports in the back are held by 1 or 2 small screws and when you use them many times (connect and disconnect a male connector to any of the IN ports, especially when you push harder) it ruins the soldering connection between the pins of the RCA IN ports and the PCB of the amplifier. This is what happened to my amp about 2 month ago. I opened it up and re-soldered all the IN ports. Since I bought the amp used I noticed some non manufacture soldering on the multi-pin connector that sticks out the main PCB to the front control panel and re-soldered it as well. After that about a month or so the amp was working very well. What happened then I described in my original posting.

So, when it happened I opened the amp up. Every evening, during about a week, I was checking everything over and over: taking measurements - nothing was burnt, checking everything visually, I couldn't understand what was going on. In addition, I did not have the schematic diagram which could be very helpful. My brain was literally melting. It was not the worst problem in my life, but I really wanted to fix the amplifier.One evening I went to the bed, I prayed to GOD and HE sent me some toughs. The thing was - this time I used different soldering flux then I usually use. The bottle of the flux was saying "general purpose soldering flux". I checked the flux conductivity with a multimeter and it happened to be conductive. It explained everything. The problem did not appeared right away after soldering, but when the current flow jumped up ( i mean the moment when I accidentally pressed the power button multiple times), the flux caused a short and electrical leakage. After soldering I always clean everything with alcohol, but in this case the flux went in between of the PCB and the multi-pin connector that connects the main PCB with the front control panel and there was no way to reach and clean there. Luckily, the multi-pin connector sticks out the PCB and I was able to put it in a small container with alcohol and let it stay like that over night. The next day I dried it with air and the amp is working like new.
One more thing to the ones who is fixing SONY amps. One of the small screws in the back of the amp that hold the RCA IN PORTS makes circuit closed. With out that screw the amp will not switch the input signal and will not work properly.
