A costumer gave me a vintage behemoth receiver (I like vintage audio equipment), a SONY STR-V7 along with an Amcron DC-300 amp. The thing is the Sony had blown 1 output transistor. And I am planning to replace the output and the driver transistors with some MJ15024,25 or with my NOS Sanken 2SC1116A, 2SA747A and the drivers with MJE15033,32 or with the 2SA958,2SC2168 (I'll reverse the mounting of course) the original outputs are the 2SD678,2SB656 and the driver 2SD699A,2SB649A. Any thoughts please before I start ripping this thing apart. I am looking forward to drive my array (8 pcs per channel in series/parallel) of Philips 9762 with the Sony receiver. I could almost hear the philips screaming😀 😀 😀
