Hey gang,
Just got one of these on the bench today,Symptoms are: No display,no sound,and no response from pushing buttons. Some of the LED's light up,the amp comes out of protect (relay's click),and everything else seems okay,all voltages are correct (as far as I can tell) and none of the regulators are suspect.
The display/front panel board is getting power,the VFD filaments are heating up,and there is ~31V on the "32V" point.
Does anyone have a schematic,or service manual? (or any tips on diagnosis?)
I'm thinking the board with the DAC/DSP/etc. is FUBAR. It appears it got wet at one point.I cleaned it with alcohol and a toothbrush,and dried it well. Some of the pins on the SMD IC's are a bit corroded/tarnished looking.
It might be hozed,but I'd like to take a good stab at it.

Well,It looks like this thing is dead.
The water damage corroded a bunch of pins on the small SMD IC's,and the digital board (with all the brains/controls) is about 80% dead from the corrosion,etc. 🙁
But,Thanks to es44 I've got the schematics! So,I've pulled the digital boards,and "hardwired" the speaker/power relays for now (I'll build some control circuitry for it later) and the power amps appear to be alive!
So,I've started stripping it down,and and going to turn it into a plain old 5-channel power amplifier.
I'll try to get some pics and stuff. 😀
