Sony STR-6800 SD - new dial color
I had changed the blue-ish dial color to green using some green gels (transparent filters) from my photography studio lights. But when I replaced the dim bulb of the meters by leds, it turned out they had a blue tone. The green dial with blue meters wasn't a pretty combination, so I decided to change the dial back to blue. But the original filters came off in pieces and ended up in the bin 😱
So what color to get and where to get it? The solution was ordering a Lee Filters sample collection for 7 Euro. It arrived today and I found that peacock blue provided an almost perfect match with the meters. The samples are large enough to cut two sections at either side of the dial.
So with most of the caps renewed, bulbs replaced by leds and new colors it should be ready for many more years of musical enjoyment.
