My old Sony sub's class D amp died (common occurance I'm told). I removed the broken amp, bolted it back together with a piece of mdf and ran some new terminals out. I've tried hooking it up to a 250 watt amp that works just fine on my other sub, but I can't seem to get the old Sony to do much. It's composed of two 12" subs that work in tandem in a push pull arrangement I guess. I can get some sound out of them individually, but I wired them in series parallel not much coming out. Am I wiring this correctly or is something else going on? The original amp was 300 watts I believe. Kind of a novice here.
You are very likely phased speakers wrong.I can get some sound out of them individually, but I wired them in series parallel not much coming out. Am I wiring this correctly or is something else going on? The original amp was 300 watts I believe. Kind of a novice here.
try connecting it like that: A+ to B-, A- to B+ for parallel connection, where
"A" & "B" are you speakers and "+" and "-" are pos/neg terminals.
