A friend gave me two Sony 211-12 16 ohm Alnico magnet drivers. I'm looking for cabinet recommendations for these drivers. I want to use them as a "single driver" speaker. Does anyone have experience with these drives? These aren't "coral holey basket" drives. I'm going to measure the VAS this weekend after I build a test box.
Its ~0.86 Qts = acoustically large (infinite baffle/IB = ~10x Vas), sealed, ~aperiodic/lossy TL, (large) OB or digitally reshape its response in an acoustically tiny sealed box (LRT) and once Vas is known it will ideally make any box short of I.B. somewhat larger.
Ergo, box alignment/shape depends on how big a box you can tolerate. 😉

What GM said, but, this 4.5: Coral likely will also work in Aiko, specs are similar to the smaller ones that find Aiko really good. Note, you will need a supraBaffle of sufficient thickness to allow the AlNiCo magnet to fit.

Hmm, at a glance, that makes no sense because normally the higher the Qt, the shorter the horn and can't recall ever trying to 'force' a higher corner frequency, so keen to see a sim of it.
BTW, between Chrome, Avast Antivirus freeware updates, any place there's a Woden link it gets blocked, so would need it converted? to some other link such as yours.
