FYI
Received a notice that someone was trying to log in under my user name and failed 5 times and was locked out. And it was not me. The IP address was 88.150.136.178
Could be someone trying to bust into the forum. Made the appropriate changes I had too.

Thanks for reporting it.
I'm assuming you have changed your password. Maybe just someone fooling around so probably one of those things we'll never know.

Interesting....
The Sim-Racing community I help run are having quite a bit of trouble with a mirrored dynamic IP.
But only way we can stop our idiot is to exclude an entire nation, unless we can 'vodka bribe' them to shut this person down.

I just received an email alerting me that somebody has tried to log into my account too.
"Dear Discochicken,
Someone has tried to log into your account on diyAudio with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.
The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 202.119.25.73
All the best,
diyAudio"
What else should I do, apart from changing my password?
Thanks, Discochicken

Saw the same issue on my account a few weeks back...same IP. What in the he!! would be the motivation to hack into an open DIY site that can easily be accessed legitimately? Trolls looking to post favorable reviews of China sourced DIY gear under members names? Weird!
Someones trying to log into my account here!!!
Hi, none of you know me here since I have probably only ever posted here once in the last 4 years.
I forgot I had an account here.
My Gmail notified me today someone has been trying to log into my Account here on this forum at least 5 times.
this will be news to you here, but there is a person who has been stalking me online now for the last two years. they have been trying to get into my E-mail account most likely to Delete the Hundreds of Harassing messages in my inbox.
Someone here might be able to shed some light on this IP address for me if possible... but I have a pretty good idea already.
if its in Montreal or here in Ontario I know who it is.
Wondering why someone would want to hack into my Account here which is basically dead anyway. my assumption is this person gets my password correct and then will commence to log into all my online accounts and start putting words in my mouth for examle.
Anyway...no big deal guys, Just thought I would run this by you.
this was 4 hours ago I got this notification in my GMail;

Got one of those emails today from a radio listener forum, worded the same way:
"Someone has tried to log into your account on Radio Discussions with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.
The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 218.206.83.89
All the best,
Radio Discussions"
This is the Internet of course, and all sorts of skullduggery goes on here. I don't know if the message is legit or a phish; I suspect the latter
