Any good suggestions for 40-60V audio NPN transistors, few 100mA iC, 1 watt of so power dissipation. To be used in output stage of class-A pre-amp. Good quality, but also something I can get my hands without too much difficulty [where to buy would be very much appreciated]. Been out of the high quality side of the analog word for a while so any and all suggestions are welcomed.

The Motorola (ON) MJE200/210 are Ft=65Mhz at 100mA with a gain of 100 up to about 1A and 1.5W ambient or 3W on a sink 40V. The MJE243/253 are similar, 100V, gain of 50, Ft=40Mhz.
BD139, BD140 are classical transistors
1A, 80V, fT 100 MHz, 5-20W (don't exactly), cheap, common (in Europe).
BF471, 472 video transistors, 300V, fast ones, also good. Check my monster headphone amp QRV-01. I use them in the cascodes.
