12uF cap in series with the 5-M [ and a 2R resistor]

This measure is without (re) break[in, so i guess 800 was the factory target Fs. ≈1.3kHz suggested by Coral.

You could add another 2 orders to the natural sealed roll-off at about 900 Hz and add a LR4 to the woofer.

About the same time [ give or take a decade] there was also a Peerless midrange with a very similar plastic enclosure and also a change from the square frame to a round frame.
I just tested the similar but later Fostex, free air is 330Hz but 550Hz when in the cup with minimum polyfill. I'm sure at some stage I had a pair that measured much lower and could cross at 400 to 500.
Had red inverted surrounds from memory [ but then my memory isn't all that great sometimes]

I didn't post pix of the other box I got as part of the sale, also $40- but not as good. I just wanted the cheap Jaycar 12" woofers in the box as they work very well as OB.
The cheap chipboard boxes are slowly turning into another set of party speakers using bits I have in the shed

The small Coral midrangers have arrived and they sound a bit better [ and perhaps a little more efficient] than the newer Foster and DATS says very low resonance ~ 300 in the can.
The rubber surrounds on the Fosters have probably hardened right up
