Some infos, files, and mods about the CD723 Philips CDP

Hi there,

I found these link wandering on the net. This french guy made some mods on his 723. Sorry, it's in french...
But here are some tech docs (PDF) about the mechanics (greasing & cleaning lenses, dimensions , etc...) that could be of interest. An article from the french magazine "La Revue du Son" (Owned by J. Hiraga) on 723 mods is also downloadable.

Edit : The link for "Maintenance.pdf" seems to be out of order. I downloaded the file some time ago, but its size (even zipped) is too large (300Kb). If someone can host it, I would be glad to send it....🙁

Thanks for the link. I loved his top-loader conversion... that'll have to happen to my Njoe Tjoeb soon.

CD mods on hold again

Has anyone experienced difficulty sourcing components for CD723 /CD4000 modificiations?

Suppliers are requesting (as they should) voltage, pitch, temp, tolerance and physical specs to match suitable upgrade components.
Is there any reading material or better still, any well read cdp 723 Cd4000 experienced diyer to assist with the appropriate specs for the upgrades suggested by the esteemed upgrade gurus on this site?
