You need to ensure that the two stereo channels use opposite twist. This is because of Fermi theory for electrons - they don't like to get too close to others with the same spin. You have caused me to rethink the effects of bending and twisting of conductors, even reconsider the effects of burn in. When you tweak solid conductors they under go elastic and plastic deformation, stranded conductors not so much. Over time, less time at elevated temperatures, the grain structure distorted by bending, twisting and stretching will recover, recrystallize and grow to the original size. Thinking of it, even Morgan Jones bakes his wire wound resistors in the kitchen oven to stabilize their parameters prior to use.
Perhaps over time at elevated temperature (burn in) the performance of the right hand twist will equal the performance of the left hand twist.

Since the change in his domestic situation, Morgan no longer uses the kitchen oven. But thanks to the skyrocketing sales of his books, he has purchased a highly regulated vacuum oven with a platinum lining. He uses that for baking resistors and annealing his monocle, top hat, and cane while the servants are pressing his bespoke tuxedo.
There are probably other examples of stranded vs. solid where there are differences due to the mechanics, and one is preferred over the other.

Yes, using Litz. I would think the disadvantages would outweigh the advantages, but I haven't tried one personally.
Think of all the audio capacitors with all the different materials etc. 10 different materials or topologies will likely garner 10 different opinions from audio enthusiast, though they are are the "same" part to an engineer.
And they will only be opinions, and opinions are like A holes. Everyone has one and they all stink. And engineers have known for a long time about the various capacitor distortions and how to deal with them, they have been measured and documented.
My question is: would the change from solid to stranded wire to the inputs and volume pot make a noticeable difference in how it sounds ?

Depends on what solid & what stranded you happened to use. Some solid wires might not sound good at all, and some stranded just might. But the rule is that a solid copper wire will add less distortion + better dynamics over any stranded wire.
And what about the opinions of the engineers? do theirs stink also, or are they special?And they will only be opinions, and opinions are like A holes. Everyone has one and they all stink. 1st year students should be able to "do the sums"
physics, psychoacoustics doesn't support anything near "infinite" resolution for sound reproduction, human hearing limits, discrimination abilities
when wire real electrical properties result in circuit differences that are linear, orders of magnitude below all so far known human auditory perception limits then engineers don't lose much sleep over wire construction
routing however can have "real" consequences - where you put it, how close, creating loops of what open area, orientation...

OK then you stick with ceramic and lytic caps in your audio circuits. Leave the PIO's and films to us cork sniffers.
"High amperage" circuits use busbar, not stranded wire.🙄
High amperage car audio amp power cables are stranded......the high amperage cable feeding that busbar is stranded, and come to think of it so are the power wires feeding your home. Wonder why?

You mean the opoinion is. You have no proof, and the science shows otherwise.
Why dont you anti engineers throw out anything discovered or developed by an engineer and see how good your system sounds. Oh yeah yould be left with the plastic knobs.

Just because something can not be explained by science now, does not make it non existent, and in the future science might be able to qualify things you scoff at today.
